Bidjar

One of the Persian Bidjar rugs in the Collection, this rug was woven circa 1890 in Northwest Persia. It features an arabesque design central medallion on a red coloured open field. The blue coloured corner medallions are decorated using Herati motifs. The format of the border design creates an effect that makes the border seem extra wide.  This rug is finely hand-knotted in wool and cotton and is available in: 

• 420 x 280 cm 

Condition: Overall Good Condition with some areas of low pile consistent with age.
