This is one of the Bidjar Rugs in the Collection, woven circa 1880 in Northwest Persia. It features a unique and dramatic open field design with a very ornate central medallion. The design is quite rare and sought after. This rug is finely hand-knotted on a wool foundation with 100% wool pile.
