One of the antique Tabriz rugs from northwest Persia dating back to circa 1900, this is a prayer rug design very common in Tabriz rugs from that time period. The light and pastel colour palette in this rug make it unique and different from other silk Tabriz rugs.  This piece is in perfect condition and is woven on a silk foundation and finely hand knotted with silk pile that uses symmetrical knotting.
