This is an antique Tabriz Hajijalili rug woven in NorthWest Persia at the end of the 19th century circa 1880- 1890. This piece features a large-scaled center medallion decorated with an array of blossoming flowers set on a red background colour and the corner medallions follow suit with the same design and colour combination. The border is designed using palmettes interconnected with tree branches with blossoming flowers set on a pastel brick red background providing colour contrast against the rich coloured field.

This rug is finely hand-knotted in the finest wool on a cotton foundation and is available in: 

  • 175 x 125 cm
