This is a Sultanabad antique rug from Central Persia woven circa 1900-1910 featuring an all-over geometric design with the center column of alternating medallions. The border has a palmette design connected by vines set on a yellow background colour that creates contrast against the fields red background colour. As well as the borders, spaciously drawn motifs break up the densely packed field design. It has been woven on a cotton foundation and has wool pile with 100% natural vegetable dyes. 

This rug is finely hand-knotted on a cotton foundation and has wool pile with 100% natural vegetable dyes and is available in: 

  • 404 x 320 cm 

Condition: Overall Very Good Condition with some areas of low pile consistent with age.
