Part of the Heritage Antique Collection of antique Persian rugs by Sahrai, this rug from the town of Heriz in northwest Persia was woven circa 1920. This rug has a geometric floral design with a highly abstract center medallion that makes use of the sickle leaf motif. The predominant shades are ruby red field with a touch of a rare light blue with navy blue border. Gallery size Heriz rugs such as this one are rare. This rug was woven on a cotton foundation with symmetrical knotted wool pile.

Condition: Overall Good Condition with some areas of low pile consistent with age.
