This is one of the antique rugs from the Persian Heritage Antique collection – a Serapi from the Heriz district of Northwest Persia was woven circa 1890.  It has a bold navy blue center medallion on a rust background field colour. The marriage of colours is stunning in this beautiful unique masterpiece. The motifs of this rug are highly spaced out and this shows its true age – the newer Heriz rugs are busier and congested. 

This rug is finely hand-knotted in the finest wool on cotton and is available in: 

• 360 x 318 cm 

Condition: Overall Good Condition with some areas of low pile consistent with age.
