This is a Persian antique rug woven in southeast Persia circa 1900. This rug has an open field design on a beige background and a floral corner medallion and borders. The minimalistic design of this rug creates a great harmony of contemporary and traditional traditions. Ravar Kerman rugs are known for their very dense floral design and a contemporary design such as this one makes it rare and unique. This rug is finely woven on a cotton foundation with wool pile with asymmetric knots.
