This is an antique Ravar Kerman woven in southeast Persia in the first quarter of the 20th-century circle 1920. This piece has a small centralized medallion surrounded by an array of blossoming flowers interconnected by vines set on a red background colour. A unique feature of this piece is that the field has its own inner border correlating the design to the center part of the field and featuring a sky-blue background colour creating contrast with the darker coloured field. The border has abstract medallions enclosing alternating bouquets each flanked by repeating blossoming shrub motifs. This piece has been preserved in an overall perfect condition retaining all its original full pile making it a perfect rug to be used in any high traffic area for many years.
