This is a antique Malayer rug from Western Persia dating circa 1910-1920. The rug has an allover design which is a variant of the Zele Sultan motif – this looks like a bug motif flanked by paiseleys. These motifs are, in turn, enclosed within an interlocking lattice pattern. This rug is finely handknotted in wool and cotton and is available in:

  • 330 x 170 cm

Condition: Overall Good Condition with areas of low pile and wear consistent with age.
