This is a Malayer antique rug from Western Persia dating circa 1910-1920. It has a unique geometric design encompassing paiseley, shrub and different animal motifs spread throughout. The center of the rug features an image of a typical Qajar village woman surrounded by tea cups. The border has alternating geometric motifs that are connected. This rug is finely handknotted on a wool foundation with wool pile and is available in:

  • 196 x 132 cm

Condition: Overall Good Condition with a few areas of low pile consistent with age.
