Heriz

This Antique Heriz  was woven in northwest Persia circa 1880. It has a traditional geometric center medallion and a unique vine motif within the field. This rug has an extra-large border that makes use of the traditional crab motif found in many Heriz rugs. It has highly saturated dyes with an overall coral colour palette with different shades of green pink blue red and ivory.

This rug is finely hand-knotted on a cotton foundation with wool pile and 100% natural vegetable dyes.
