This is an antique Isfahan rug woven in central Persia that dates to the first quarter of the 20th century circa 1920 – 1930. This piece features a traditional center medallion surrounded by a spiraling vine design with split arabesque motifs set on a beige colour background. The border is made using a blue zig-zag that creates triangles enclosing alternating coloured palmettes set on a red background.
This rug is woven on a silk foundation and kork wool pile and available in:
