This is a Bidjar antique rug woven circa 1910 in Northwest Persia. This piece has a large-scaled center medallion with an array of flowers accompanied by blossoming Paisley motifs set on a sky-blue background. The medallion is placed on a red open field background accompanied by dark blue corner medallions decorated with the famous Herati design. The main border of this piece is decorated with polychrome flowers interconnected with a vine set on the same red background colour as the field. This rug is finely hand-knotted on a wool foundation and a wool pile and is available in:
