This is one of the Meimeh Persian antique rugs woven in central Persia circa 1930’s – a tribal rug traditionally woven by nomads. This is an allover shrub design on a light red field dense on one side and more spaced on the other. The extra larger size of its border creates a dramatic frame effect around the rug making it a unique piece. The pistachio green colour of the border is rare and highly sought after. The carpet is woven on a cotton foundation and wool pile.
