This is an Malayer antique rug from western Persia woven circa 1900 -20’s. This runner has five connected medallions in the field of the rug set on a midnight blue background colour. Each medallion has a large Floral motif surrounded by smaller flowers and peacocks motifs. The background of the field is also decorated with smaller floral motifs, peacocks, and chickens. it has three minor borders all with geometric designs and each of them create movement within the rug.

This rug is finely handknotted on a cotton foundation with 100 % wool pile and is available in:

• 320 x 107 cm

Condition: Overall Good Condition with areas of low pile and wear consistent with age.
