This is an antique Peking rug in wool woven in the eastern part of China during the first quarter of the 20th century circa 1920-30’s. It is a simplistic field design with no motifs and an open field dark blue background colour. Its innermost border is made up of floral motifs interconnected with the vine design set on an apricot background colour. The main border is comprised of four floral motifs as well as four vase motifs with blossoming flowers located in each of the corners of the rug.

This piece has been woven on a cotton foundation using a wool pile and comes in:
