This is a Peking rug woven in the eastern part of China during the 2nd quarter of the 20th century circa 1930-40’s. This antique rug has an extremely simplistic design with one center floral motif set on an open field ivory background colour. The dark blue border creates a frame around the field and has no motifs within it. it has been woven on a cotton foundation with all wool pile and uses 100% natural vegetable dyes. It comes in:
