This is a semi antique Baluch prayer rug woven in the Baluchistan province of Persia circa 1970. It’s field is comprised of a center axis in the shape of a tree motif flanked by two columns on each of it’s sides. The ivory field has alternating shrub motifs blossoming all along the border. It’s six borders are comprised with an array of different geometric and floral motifs.
This rug is handknotted on a wool foundation with a wool pile and comes in:
