This antique Senneh rug from the Kurdistan region in Western Persia known for its asymmetrical knot was woven circa 1880-1900. It features a paisley ‘Boteh’ design throughout the entire rug surrounded by a border encomapssing floral motifs. This piece is woven on a cotton foundation with wool pile and uses asymmetric knotting.
