This is an antique signed Ravar Kerman woven in southeast Persia at the end of the 19th century circa 1880 – 1890. This piece has a floral center medallion surrounded by an array of polychrome blossoming flowers set on a beige field colour. The border follows the theme of the field with various blossoming flowers interconnected by vines set on the same beige background and located in the main border centralized at the top is a cartouche bearing the weaver’s signature. This is an extremely fine and high-quality carpet that makes use of the best wool quality, dyes, and the finest weave. It has been preserved in overall excellent condition retaining most of its original full pile and is ready to be used and enjoyed for decades to come
