This is an antique Malayer rug woven in west Persia during the beginning of the 20th century circa 1900 – 1910. This piece has an all-over floral lattice design that encloses blossoming shrub motifs with beige coloured flowers set on a blue background. The corner medallions have a Paisley design interconnected by vines set on a beige background creating a contrast against the darker field. The border is designed using an abstract crab motif interconnected by vines with blossoming geometric flowers.

This rug is woven on a cotton foundation and wool pile and comes in:
