One of the Persian silk rugs in the Collection from Kerman region woven circa 1900-1910, this is an extremely rare and unique 100% silk Kerman in perfect condition. Silk Kerman rugs are the most rare rugs produced in Persia during the Qajar era and is nearly impossible to find one in a perfectly preserved condition.  This rug displays a tree of life combined with a mille-fleurs design that has its roots from the classical rug weaving period.  This rug is finely hand-knotted on silk foundation and silk pile using asymmetric knots.
