One of the antique wool rugs in the Collection, this Bakhshayesh from Northwest Persia was woven circa 1880.  Bakhshayesh rugs are famous for their use of the camel colour, and this one is no different  This rug has an allover large scale Herati design with a rare sky blue border with primitive motifs. Bakhshayesh rugs are sought after by both interior designers and collectors for their decorative designs and collectability.  This Bakhshayesh is woven on a cotton foundation with wool pile and it uses symmetric knotting.

Condition: Overall Very Good Condition with some areas of low pile consistent with age.
