This is a semi antique Ardebil rug woven in Northwest Persia during the 1950’s. It has a classical allover design that incorporates a center medallion surrounded by the herati motif throughout the field. The border has a geometric abstract design that gives the rug a more mechanical feel. The yellow colour of the border creates a contrast against the purple field and draws the viewers’ eyes towards the border.
This rug is finely handknotted on a cotton foundation with 100 % wool pile and is available in:
- 95 x 70 cm
Condition: Overall Good Condition with no areas of wear.
