This is a semi-antique Peking rug woven in the eastern part of China during the second quarter of the 20th century circa 1930-40s. It has a simplistic field design with a floral center medallion surrounded by branch motifs set on a blue background colour. The border is comprised of floral motifs interconnected with the Vine design with blossoming branches. The floral motifs have been designed using lighter pastel colours creating colour contrast against the overall darker colour palette of the field.

This rug has been woven on a cotton foundation using all wool pile and comes in:
