This is an antique Qashqai rug woven in Southwest Persian during the end of the 19th century. The field design is comprised with rows of repeating enlarged paisley motifs set on a dark blue background colour. The organisation of the field creates diagonal columns of the same coloured paisley motifs. Each row also alternates the direction the paisley is facing. The main border is comprised of geometric floral motifs enclosed in a rectangular design. The light blue background colour of the border and as well as the ivory colour used in the main field breaks up the overall darker colour palette of this rug and creates coloUr contrast.

This rug is finely handknotted on a wool foundation with 100 % wool pile and is available in:

• 178 x 122 cm

Condition: Overall Good Condition with no areas of wear.
