This is an antique Dabir Kashan woven in central Persia in the first quarter of the 20th century circa 1920. This piece has a traditional center medallion accompanied by an array of blossoming flowers set on a rare teal background colour. The main border is decorated with palmettes interconnected with a split arabesque design and is accompanied by different small-scaled flowers set on a red background. Dabir was one of the most famous weavers from Kashan at the beginning of the 20th century and known for using the best quality wool, dyes, and having the finest weave. This piece has been preserved and perfect full pile condition retaining all its original fringes and made on a cotton foundation using wool pile and all-natural vegetable dyes. It comes in:
