This antique Bakhshayesh rug from Northwest Persia was woven circa 1880-1890. It features a minimalistic geometric design – an open field with a central medallion. The border encompasses geometric motifs which interact and complement each other. Bakhshayesh rugs are highly desired by both designers and connoisseurs alike as they are easy to use when it comes to interior design. This rug is finely hand-knotted on a cotton foundation and wool pile using asymmetric knots.
